EXPEDITIONS TO THE BATTLEFIELDS OF WORLD WAR II
Unique expeditions to the real places of fights and to the location of defensive positions in the Alamein Desert where the armies of the Axis and Allied powers fought over control of North Africa. The two armies faced each other in extremely hostile land separated by minefields and the infamous Rommels Devils Gardens. The line of defence stretching southward from Alamein to the Qattara depression – the largest depression in Africa.
The Alamein Desert is relatively untouched and some personal belongings of soldiers and war equipment are found on the desert sands, just as they were left by the various armies almost 70 years ago.
We organize expeditions to the heart of the battlefield, safely crossing the battles lines and areas of strategic importance during the war.
We will take you (in 4x4 vehicles driven by very experienced desert drivers) ‘off the beaten track’ to explore rarely visited sites of the WW2 battles of Alamein.
We are a registered Tour Company in Egypt, and one of less than a handful of tour operators who can obtain the special permits from the authorities & military for these ventures into the Alamein desert. As a condition of obtaining these permits, an Egyptian army officer will travel with us throughout the desert, an English speaking guide will be with you throughout the tour.
Our Tours are most definitely not on the usual ‘Tourist Trail’!!!
